Harry Steinfeldt, who started his professional baseball career as a rookie outfielder and infielder for the 1898 Cincinnati Reds, was born on Sept. 29, 1877, in St. Louis. On Aug. 17, 1914, at the age of 37, he suddenly became ill and died at his melbourne property valuers home in Bellevue. A member of the Christian Science faith and the Newport Elks, he was placed to rest in a vault at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, but his body was later moved to Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati for burial.
